Nonresident Senior Fellow, Global Economy and Development at Brookings
Raj Desai is associate professor at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. He is also a nonresident senior fellow at the Global Economy and Development program at the Brookings Institution. Raj focuses on the political economy of development, economic adjustment and market reform and the business environment of developing countries. His current research includes poverty reduction and economic policy reform in developing countries. Previously, Raj served as senior private sector development specialist at the World Bank's Development Economics Group.
