Ragui Assaad
Nonresident Senior Fellow, Global Economy and Development at Brookings
Ragui Assaad is a professor of planning and public affairs at the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota and a nonresident senior fellow at the Global Economy and Development progam at Brookings. Ragui previously served as the regional director for West Asia and North Africa at the Population Council. His expertise is in the areas of international economic development; labor market analysis; politics and economics of the Middle East and North Africa; urban planning; poverty in developing countries; quantitative methods; and women's work in developing countries.
Ragui received his Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University and his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and B.Sc. in Physics from Stanford University. |
